1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account on The Surgical Note, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. Description of service

The Surgical Note is an educational quiz platform for dental students and clinicians. It provides multiple-choice questions, performance tracking, and study tools to help users prepare for dental examinations.

3. User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the platform — this includes attempting to access data you are not authorized to view, disrupting the service, scraping content, or using the platform for any unlawful purpose.

5. Payment, cancellation and refunds

Paid plans are billed monthly in Pakistani rupees until you cancel. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. If we change the price of a plan, the change applies from your next billing date, not the one you have already paid.

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not end your access straight away: you keep your paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and after that your account returns to the free plan. Your history, bookmarks and progress stay in your account.

Because access continues to the end of the paid period, we do not refund part of a month you have already started. If you were charged by mistake, charged twice, or could not use the service because of a fault on our side, contact us within 14 days of the charge and we will put it right.

If you pay by bank transfer, Easypaisa or JazzCash, your access starts once we confirm the payment, and the same rules apply from that date.

6. Intellectual property

All question content, explanations, and platform materials are owned by The Surgical Note. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from platform content without permission.

7. Disclaimer

The Surgical Note is an educational supplement, not a substitute for formal dental education or clinical training. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees about exam outcomes or question coverage.

8. Limitation of liability

The Surgical Note is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from use or inability to use the platform.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
